Learning about the leaders and the events of the Civil Rights movement can be done through crossword puzzles and word searches.  

• Break the kids into teams and see how many answers they can find.
• Ask if they have heard of any of these people or events.   
• Initiate a discussion about the movement through the terms, events and leaders they have discovered in the puzzles.
