Kids Care About the Vote - October

Why Vote? Elected officials make decisions about issues that directly affect our families, such as: jobs, health care and security. To be part of that decision making process, people need to exercise their right to vote.

It is said that the strength of a democracy is measured by the participation of its citizens. Kids Care Clubs can encourage citizens in their local communities to vote by participating in the Kids Care About the Vote project.

Your club can help get out the vote by customizing the Kids Care Clubs "Vote 2008 Pledge Flyer" to distribute to their families, relatives and friends to remind them to vote on Election Day, November 4, 2008.

To customize the flyer call your local Registrar of Voting.

  • Get the hours the polls are open
  • Get the locations of the polls
  • Tell them to bring a picture ID to the polls
  • If an agency in town provides transportation for seniors to get to the polls put in their phone number.
