Operation Kids Care

Operation Kids Care was launched to support our military personnel at home and overseas, Kids Care Clubs on bases in America have gratefully received hundreds of cards and letters and care package items.

Evelyn Montgomery, facilitator of the Wilson School Kids Care Club at Fort Benning in Georgia writes, "I want to thank all the clubs who sent cards and boxes of goodies for our soldiers. The amount of items that came in was incredible. We received so many items, that I was not able to thank everyone personally.  Upon receiving care packages of letters, snacks, soccer balls, frisbees, toiletries and photos, sent by the soccer team he used to coach, Second Lieutenant Morgan, wrote 'words cannot express how important the "care packages' have been."

Thousands of troops are serving overseas. In addition to being away from home and loved ones, the climate is especially harsh in these countries. Think intense heat and sand, sand, sand! It gets into everything. Dust storms and sand storms are blinding.

Everyone appreciates a word from home. Care packages booster troop morale, as well as providing useful and comforting items, that troops do not have access to.  A note of care brightens the day, for those serving overseas and the reservists who have been separated from their families and relocated to military bases within the United States.

Operation Kids Care enables kids to support our service personnel by writing post cards and assembling care packages. Kids will be able to send their mail through Kids Care Clubs located on military base in the United States or through the USO to troops being deployed. These letters will be distributed to men and women in the service throughout the world. See Organizations - Operation Kids Care for U.S. bases to send your cards and packages.
