Martin Luther King, Jr. Day -- Wall of Dreams

On August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech on the steps at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

Read the "I Have A Dream" speech and create a Wall of Dreams!   Take excerpts from the speech and illustrate or write them on a mural or in a picture. Your club can make a mural about their own dreams about peace in their school, community, country or the world. Alternative idea -- make mobiles with your club's dreams written on diffferent shapes of paper, hang in your classroom or in a a public space in your sponsoring organization.  For more resources, books, club activities and project ideas click on Kids Care Clubs Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
